This Privacy Policy describes how SplitVault ("we", "us") collects, uses, and shares information when you use our Service.

1. Information We Collect

Account info: name, email, password hash, and authentication identifiers (e.g. Google ID) when you sign up.
Content you submit: split sheets, collaborator details, PRO/IPI numbers, signatures, messages, and file attachments.
Billing info: handled by our payments processor (Stripe). We receive limited metadata (plan, status, last 4 digits) but not full card numbers.
Usage data: log data, device/browser info, IP address, and analytics events used to operate and improve the Service.

2. How We Use Information

Provide, maintain, and improve the Service.
Authenticate users and secure accounts.
Process payments and administer referral rewards.
Communicate about your account, security, and updates.
Comply with legal obligations and enforce our Terms.

We do not sell your personal information.

3. Sharing

We share data with service providers acting on our behalf (hosting, database, email delivery, analytics, payments). We may disclose information when required by law, to protect rights and safety, or in connection with a corporate transaction. Collaborators you invite to a split sheet will see the content of that sheet.

4. Security

We use industry-standard safeguards including encryption in transit, access controls, and row-level security on our database. No system is perfectly secure; please use a strong unique password.

5. Data Retention

We retain your data for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the Service and comply with legal obligations. You may request deletion of your account at any time.

6. Your Rights

Depending on your jurisdiction (e.g. EEA, UK, California), you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or port your personal data, and to object to or restrict certain processing. Contact us at support@splitvaultapp.com to exercise these rights.

7. International Transfers

We may process data in the United States and other countries. By using the Service, you consent to such transfers.

8. Children

The Service is not directed to children under 13 (or 16 in the EEA). We do not knowingly collect personal data from children.

We may update this Policy from time to time. The "Last updated" date reflects the most recent revision.
